Over a span of thirty years, "Chicago" Carl Snyder worked with over sixty of the Windy City's blues artists, most extensively with Junior Wells, Otis Rush, Son Seals and Jimmy Johnson. He played on two albums that won the Handy Award, two more that were nominated for Grammies, and appeared in a film, "Blues Highway", that was nominated for an Academy Award. At one time he was also the pianist at Chicago's famed Second City Theater. He has performed in over 40 states and eleven foreign countries.

Since moving to Pennsylvania in 1996 he has continued to play blues, jazz and cocktail music in a variety of settings while operating his own record label, Lost World Music, and hosting radio shows on college and public stations.
